Prologue

Two years ago at midnight in Hyderabad

That desolate night was a canvas of black, stretching endlessly in every direction.

Only the cresent moon, a solitary beacon in the inky sky, offered a sliver of hope, its peaceful glow embracing the silent world. But the tranquility was ripped apart by the roar of an engine as a car, a streak of metal against the darkness, tore through the night at breakneck speed. It was as if the driver was fleeing some unseen terror, desperate to escape the clutches of a lurking danger and find sanctuary. Yet, beneath the frantic flight, there was a sense of unwavering resolve, as if they were racing against time to rescue someone from the scar of disaster.

Ignoring the blood that seeped relentlessly from the driver's wounds, staining their clothes in dark crimson patches that spread, drop by drop, onto the car's carpet—

the vehicle hurtled towards the ring road. Out of nowhere, another car slammed into it from the left and

CRUNCH.

The silence of the night exploded, the ear-piercing screech of metal on metal tearing through the stillness and echoing across the sleeping city. And the world became a cacophony of shattering glass, screeching metal, and the sickening thud of colliding vehicles.

Her head snapped to the side, her vision blurring.

The Tires screamed in protest

—SCREEEECH—

The impact ripped through her car, a violent jolt that tossed her sideways, spinning her like a discarded doll.

One moment she was driving, the next she was a ragdoll, flung about by forces beyond her control. The world became a blur of streetlights and in the luminous glow of moon. Then, with a sickening crunch, her car slammed into the concrete divider, the driver's side taking the brunt of the impact. The force of the collision was so intense that the airbag exploded from the steering wheel, erupting in a cloud of white powder that filled the car's interior, momentarily obscuring everything. For a split second, she was enveloped in a hazy, silent world. Then, as quickly as it had arrived, the chaos subsided, leaving behind a ringing in her ears and the lingering scent of the airbag's powder which was intermixing with her own metallic coppery scent of blood.

The night, however, was not entirely silent. Faintly, in the distance, she could still hear the screech of tires, the sound of a car accelerating away, slowly fading into the darkness, leaving her trapped in the stillness and the wreckage......

And the last thing which she remembers before losing her consciousness was the continuous buzzing of her phone..................
